Sometimes God Hasn’t Been Enough for Me. Here’s Why.
This week’s episode was inspired by a private message I received from one of my TikTok followers. While responding, I found myself admitting something incredibly vulnerable: sometimes God hasn’t been enough for me. But I think I finally understand why. I know why God hasn’t been enough for me, and I believe a lot of born-again believers struggle with the exact same thing. The answer may surprise you. I know it surprised me when I had the revelation myself. At the same time, the Bible tells us that God said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” God created us with a need for human connection, friendship, companionship, and community. But as believers, are we ever truly alone? In this episode, I have a vulnerable conversation about loneliness, my relationship with God, and the realization that forced me to take a hard look at myself and ask: Why hasn’t God been enough for me?
Key Points
- Honest faith can include admitting when God feels distant, because naming struggle is part of a real relationship with Him.
- Making God a priority through Scripture, prayer, and intentional time is essential to experiencing Him as enough.
- Loneliness and suffering are best faced with both spiritual honesty and meaningful human community, not with pretending everything is fine.
