You Don’t Have to Sow a Seed to Meet Your Need

“Sow a seed to meet your need.” That phrase inspired this week’s episode. I recently watched a Facebook Live broadcast hosted by Richard Roberts during an episode of A Place for Miracles. During the broadcast, Richard had a stack of prayer requests in his hand and was going through them one by one. Then he stopped and said that if you need a miracle, call the Abundant Life Prayer Group, something I have personally done in the past. He then made the statement, “Sow a seed to meet your need.” As someone who has been fascinated by Christian television my entire life and have genuinely been blessed by many television ministries over the years, something I discuss in this episode, this marketing tactic frustrates the hell out of me. I also make it clear at the beginning of this episode that I wasn’t planning to do an episode about tithing or whether it’s still biblical for Christians today. That’s simply where the conversation ended up going.
